VideoLAN Security Advisory 0811
VLC media player versions 0.9.8 and older suffer from a critical buffer overflow vulnerabilities. Refer to our advisory for technical details. Fixes for this issue is available in VLC 0.9.8a. We strongly recommend all users to update to this new version. Windows and Mac OS builds are coming at a later date.
